Ellie is a truly special and precious girl. She doesn't thrive in a kennel environment hence she is in a foster home. There she shows her real personality and from a quiet and subdued dog, raised a lady full of tricks and surprises. Ellie is house trained, travels well in the car and loves human contact. Ellie gets on with children but prefers a quieter household. Whilst she is fine to be left on her own for a few hours, she certainly needs human company for the majority of the day. She gets on with other dogs but doesn't really interact. Ellie even tried on a few occasions to play, but so far she never progressed the attempts to a real game. She is certainly thriving once she is the centre of attention, tries to dominate the dogs and is not impressed by the attention that our cats are getting. She especially picked on 1 which she chases. Ellie is very good on the lead but has a poor recall once off the lead. Saying that so far all she does is run from the walk back into the house. She as majority of dogs of that or similar breed, hates wet weather and loves the warmth and comfort of the indoors. She believes that the sofa is her destiny and it took a while to get her to realise that dog bed and blanket will have to do. She was a very poor eater to start with but loves scraps and begs around the table and try to steal as well. So she needs to be constantly reminded of the house rules and proper manners. She is a bit of bossy boots and again she needs regular reminders that she is not the boss. Ellie is surprisingly good with our free range poultry and doesn't seem to pay any attention to cattle in the fields either. Ellie needs very gentle but strict handling, she needs a patient home with a lot of reassurance and a regular care for her coat that is far from silky now. She will be loyal and loving companion and I am sure she has a lot to offer with her special sense of humour. Ellie can be brought to the Centre after previous arrangements to meet her potential adopters.

Dogs and puppies at the NAC are fully vaccinated, treated for worms and fleas, micro-chipped, neutered (when of age) and come with six weeks free pet insurance. Adoption fee €80. Cats and kittens at the NAC are fully vaccinated, treated for worms and fleas, neutered (when of age), cat-flap and litter-trained, they also come with six weeks free pet insurance. Adoption fee €45. At the NAC all equines are fully vaccinated, micro chipped and passported. Stallions and colts are gelded before rehoming. A donation rather than a set fee is requested.

Aber so wie es viele Hunde gibt, gibt es doch auch
viele Menschen. Es muß sich doch irgendwie aufteilen.

Die zwei Mädls sind so putzig mit ihrer Matschfuß-Ellie.. 



Ich mag das auch, wenn Afghanen nicht nur hübsch sein sollen, sondern ganz normal Hund sein können - von Verhalten können die das ja wirklich gut 

Eine Freundin hat extra ein Grundstück in ihrer Nähe gehabt für die Hunde. Die Greys hätten sich da alle Knochen gebrochen, ihre Afghanen sind da aber wie die Teufel durchs Unterholz gesaust und klar bedeutet das danach auch wieder mehr Arbeit mit dem Fell. Ich kann mir aber beim besten Willen nicht vorstellen, wie sie ihre Hunde hätte auslasten wollen ohne diese Möglichkeit.


Was ist eigentlich aus dem Schoßhündchen oben geworden? Hat der auch schon einen Platz gefunden? Sollen wir dem einen eigenen Thread machen?

Ich finde das Schoßhündchen nicht mehr, das Inserat wurde gelöscht.

Dana saust nicht durchs Gelände, sie hoppelt wie ein Hase. Der Hund hasst jede Überanstrengung, wenn die beiden Fräuleins Fangen spielen saust Cuwan wie blöd herum. Dana hüpft mit Riesensprüngen hinterher aber irgendwann wird es ihr zu blöd und sie wartet ganz einfach bis Cuwan das nächste Mal vorbeikommt, der hängt dann schon die Zunge raus und die ausgeruhte Dana kann sie fangen. 
Mein Äffchen ist eher die Denkerin, wohingegen das Salukerle mit Höllentempo blindlings drauflosrennt.

Beispiel: Vogel sitzt auf der Mauer - Cuwan sieht den Vogel und springt sofort darauf zu - Vogel weg.
Dana sieht Vogel - überlegt - schleicht sich wie eine Katze an und springt erst dann - so hat sie tatsächlich schon eine Amsel erwischt!
