VERMITTELT - Winnie

Winnie is a rough coated lurcher in the care of another rescue. They are an all-breed rescue and there has been little interest in her, so we are all hoping that putting her on the OGS website will expose her to people who are specifically seeking a greyhound or lurcher. Winnie has had a tough life, and was thrown out of a van in Kingscourt County Cavan, in August 2010. She was found in a horrific state and was very underweight with advanced mange and had recently given birth to pups, though they were not found with her. Due to the fact that she was disposed of and was in very bad condition, it is unlikely the pups survived. Winnie has since been brought back to health and has a lovely new coat. is neutered and fully vaccinated and ready for her
forever home. She loves attention and cuddles, loves to play, and loves her creature comforts. She is a placid and gentle dog, but can be a bit dominant around other females, and is not at all safe around cats. Winnie would be best rehomed in a
household with older children as there is no previous history on
Winnie's behaviour around young children. She walks well on the lead and is very good off the lead ......... until she sees a cat! Currently Winnie is in kennels with a very timid collie, and she is credited with having really helped him come out of his shell.
