Event Info

The idea behind 1000 Sighthounds came about following last years 1000 Greyhounds
Guinness World Record attempt, when we attempted to break the record for the largest
single breed dog walk. While we did not manage to break the record, we did manage to
gather 327 greyhounds and their owners and have a greyt fun day, which was no mean
feat! At the end of last year's event, lots of people were asking if were were going to do
it again this year, so we have decided to go for it! This year's event will be slightly
different, as we will not be bound by the rules made by Guinness last year. We have
decided to try to gather as many sighthounds as we can, together with their owners,
with the aim of creating an amazing, fun day out for all while raising as much money as
we can for UK dog rescue charities.

Registration is from 10.00 and the walk starts around 12 noon – 1pm or as soon as everyone is registered
